Efrain's Profile
My lady calls me big papa but I usually go by Efrain.
I’ve been tattooing since 2012 but my interest in art started out even farther back around 2008. Since then I’ve explored multiple mediums including but not limited to airbrushing, wood-burning, oil painting, mixed media and lately tattooing.
By far tattooing has been the most challenging medium to work with, and yet it has also been the most rewarding. From the sweat and tears of earning the tattoo, to the healing transformative powers in the aftermath. My fascination for the craft led me to open Ascended Tattoo in 2019. Here I focus on creating large scale custom tattoos, for serious collectors looking to tell their story through unique and everlasting tattoos.
My preferred style of tattooing includes both color and black and gray tattoos, in order to keep a wider palette with less limitations. However, the subjects I prefer to do are more aligned with realism, surrealism, fine line, illustrative, sacred geometry, Neo-Japanese traditional, anime and basically anything else to help paint a better picture.

Pain threshold varies by person. But typically yes, getting a tattoo does hurt. The pain is manageable but some areas are more sensitive than others. We highly recommend applying a numbing product to these areas and allowing it to set prior to coming in for your appointment.
